Phil O’Math

Phil O’Math

Let’s go together on a linguistic journey!

Attention, attention! It’s been confirmed!

A super friendly little creature named Phil O’Math is about to land on our planet! He’ll fly in straight from Umba-Lumba to take you on a linguistic journey! There’s no time to waste, you have to grab the tickets we are giving away and together with the main character from our new book experience a linguistic adventure.

After an unplanned landing on Earth, Phil O’Math decides to tour the planet because his natural curiosity[1] simply won’t allow him to miss such an opportunity. Together with the character, the reader can become familiar with different aspects of human life and the vocabulary associated with them. Accompanied by the little creature at a grocery store, a zoo or a farm, one can experience various adventures, reinforcing English words and grammatical structures.

Every chapter constitutes a topical whole; under each of them, there are exercises and tasks relating to their content. To facilitate and also diversify learning, we have further enriched each chapter by adding appropriate flashcards. These are the tickets we mentioned above; thanks to them, the journey will become more convenient and pleasant, with its goal within easy reach of everyone, even a novice explorer.

Thanks to the flashcards, you can practise the command of words through the repetition and reinforcement after reading a portion of the book. As an alternative, you can just start with them: first learn the new words, and then read the text Then the content of each chapter will be easier to understand and looking for new words can turn out to be truly fascinating.

Younger readers can get to know Phil’s adventures in Polish and, with the use of flashcards, replace some Polish words with their English equivalents.

We encourage everyone, no matter their age, to use the audio files available here/on YT. They will enable you to familiarize yourself with the content of the chapters and to reinforce proper pronunciation.

To enable our readers to also reinforce grammatical structures, we created a set of flashcards and recordings with the past forms of the verbs used in the book.

Therefore, equipped with all these aids as well as with the tickets for novice travelers and more seasoned trekkers, you can boldly hit the road with Phil O’Math and let him guide you through linguistic trails.

[1] Yes, the character’s name isn’t random; most importantly, it’s without a pejorative undercurrent, as our Phil O’Math isn’t nosy, but rather curious about the world.
