English for kids

English for kids

We often look for the best method to help a kid learn. It’s hard to find the perfect one; indeed, quite often it’s impossible. It’s worth using several different ways, because then we encourage students to use all their senses, which makes the learning process much more effective.

English in songs

Children are auditory learners. Thanks to hearing, they pick up their mother tongue. It should be the same with learning the first foreign language. The most important thing is that they have an opportunity to become familiar with its sounds system. Here are two popular channels we use to teach English. You will find lots of simple melodies there.

SUPER SIMPLE SONGS

THE SINGING WALRUS

However, it’s also worth mentioning the Langero channel, where you will find many short videos to expand your vocabulary.

English in worksheets

The more senses are used in the learning process, the better. That’s why, apart from hearing, we encourage you to practice your memory and kinesthetic, for example by filling in worksheets.

TWINKL – is a place where you can find a lot of worksheets for English and other subjects as well. Cards can be done by students of different age – from kindergarten to the eighth grade of elementary school.

However, for learning languages, we recommend our teaching aids and other worksheets available on the blog.

English in apps

Using applications is another noteworthy activity. Nowadays we have a wide selection to pick from, but we would like to recommend the free ones, which are also the most common in teaching all subjects in Polish schools. These are:

LEARNINGAPPS – the perfect tool for individual revision of a wide range of subjects,

QUIZIZZ – an application that enables gamification of a lot of participants and serves as a tool for testing knowledge and is also used in many areas of education.

It’s also worth noting that in both applications, it’s possible for logged users to create tests and tasks.

English in books

There are a lot of interesting and simple books for the little ones. Even right now you can get a book entitled “(Un)earthly adventures of Phil O’Math” intended for intermediate learners. We highly recommend books for those who have just started learning. Here are some intriguing suggestions:

Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss This is an amazing publication, thanks to which the youngest will see how to play with words and rhymes.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? written by Eric Carl presents the world of colors, simple activities and animals that we can see around.

This is the beginning of our recommendations. We start with just a few selected solutions according to the principle “less is more”.

Good luck with your studies 🙂
